Amigo Fiel began working with the children in Ciudad Juárez providing food and clothing in 1992. God provided the opportunity to officially open the after school program in 1999, in the neighborhood of Flores Magón.
Providing a safe place for children to go after school, our goal is to nourish them not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well. Every weekday we provide a hot meal, help with homework, arts and crafts, playtime, music, discipleship, and a character series based on God’s word. We currently have on staff a children’s education director, a full time cook, and 3 teachers who all work together by loving and serving the children, helping them reach their highest potential.
We started a small library to help encourage imagination and a love for learning in the children of Amigo Fiel. Reading is one of the most powerful tools for inspiration, change, and learning and we want to instill a love for books in as many children as we can.
